Preseason camp for Alabama football arrives in a few weeks.
We are 50 days from the return of Crimson Tide action at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The staff at Touchdown Alabama Magazine has started a countdown to the season. It will go from Nos. 50 to 1, and we begin with senior defensive lineman Tim Smith.

As a Florida native, Smith came to the Tide as a five-star in the 2020 class.

He helped Alabama capture a College Football Playoff National Championship as a freshman, but Smith has yet to have a breakout year. The 6-foot-4, 302-pounder played all 13 games last year, including seven starts.
He totaled 20 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a sack. Smith has potential, but he needs to unlock it in the fall.
A good season from him could provide a suitable NFL Draft grade.
