The expectations for Alabama’s offensive line were set in motion Wednesday at SEC Media Days.
JC Latham, a junior offensive tackle, came to Nashville (Tenn.) with one message.

He wants the Crimson Tide to go undefeated, capture a national championship, win the Joe Moore Award, and for him to win the Outland Trophy. The 6-foot-6, 335-pounder stated during spring practice he wants the Tide to be ‘ruthless’ up front. He is not one for the disrespect thrown Alabama’s way, but he takes the naysay as fuel. Latham told reporters at SEC Media Days the Tide’s offensive line is going to ‘shock the world.’ Alabama returns Seth McLaughlin, Darrian Dalcourt, and Tyler Booker as veterans.
Latham, a former five-star, is very excited about a five-star freshman for this fall. Kadyn Proctor has immense potential.
“I think Kadyn has an amazing opportunity to play,” Latham said. “I think he understands the opportunity he has, and he was asking questions before he came in here. He wanted to know what he needed to do and how he could be better. I think he is mature, very athletic, he can move and bend well to be 6-foot-8. He understands what he needs to do to be the best.”
