Northridge punter Anderson Green accepts walk-on offer

Anderson Greene and Saban

Anderson Green announced Wednesday he was committing and accepting a preferred walk-on opportunity from Alabama football.

Green attends Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The Crimson Tide hosted him for camp last month, and Nick Saban told him he was going to ‘heavily monitor’ him in the future.

“I had a good camp there,” Green said. “I was one of two punters coach Saban pulled into his office. He was telling me he would be heavily monitoring me throughout the next couple of months and the season.”

The rising senior served as the Jaguars’ kicker and punter last season. He showed promise at both positions. As a punter, he put some consistent performances together.
