He is one of the best stories in Alabama football during the Nick Saban era.
Levi Wallace came to the University of Alabama as a walk-on in 2014.
He competed against the most talented defensive backs and wide receivers for an opportunity to play. Wallace did not earn an athletic scholarship until the summer of 2016, but he was one of the hardest-working players on the team. He battled to make Amari Cooper, DeAndrew White, Christion Jones, Calvin Ridley, ArDarius Stewart, Richard Mullaney, and Cam Sims better.

When he got his opportunity in 2016, Wallace cashed in. He helped the Crimson Tide capture a Southeastern Conference Championship in 2016, but the former walk-on became a star in the following season. Wallace assisted Alabama’s defense to a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2017 as a starting cornerback. He recorded 48 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, 15 pass breakups (team-high), three interceptions, and a touchdown. Wallace shut down receivers on his side of the field.
He went undrafted in 2018, but Wallace had made a living in the National Football League.
