The University of Alabama alumnus did enough in rookie minicamp and organized team activities to advance. Carolina has Andy Dalton and Matt Corral, but it selected Young with the No. 1 overall pick. He impressed teammates and coaches all summer and looks to continue in training camp. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Reich doubled down on his statement about Young to reporters — saying “Yes, he is QB 1.” Young reportedly stood out in the 11-on-11 period of practice in front of fans.
