He is the most powerful running back in today’s National Football League, but he takes time for young fans.

Derrick Henry has become an incredible role model in the Nashville (Tenn.) community. He brought joy to a fan in Saturday’s practice at training camp for the Tennessee Titans. Henry walked up to a group of children and autographed a Houston Oilers’ helmet for a young man who looks at him as his idol. Henry will wear the Titans throwback uniform for two home games.

He wants to see the running back position get paid more in the league, but it is good to see the former Alabama standout make time to reach a young generation. After watching another former Crimson Tide standout win the NFL’s rushing title in 2022 — Josh Jacobs — Henry is looking forward to leading the league in rushing this season.
