Nathan Nwagwu is ready to take the next step in his recruitment after watching it grow during the spring.

Nwagwu attends McAdory High School in McCalla, Alabama, and he is a 2024 defensive back. He holds offers from Marshall, Alabama State, LIU, North Alabama, Southeast Missouri State, Tennessee Tech, UT Martin and Mississippi Valley State.

The rising senior is ready to choose where he play his college football on Aug. 10 and focus on putting on a show for McAdory this season.

“I wanted to go ahead and commit, so that I can focus on playing and having a great season,” Nwagwu told Touchdown Alabama.

Nwagwu is considering every school he has an offer from ahead of his decision. He is looking forward to making a decision and is weighing a variety of factors.

“I am looking for a program that has a plan to develop me as a player, a family atmosphere, coaches that have been where I ultimately want to be one day, which is the NFL, a great academic university where I can get a degree that will help me in the future and an university with an active alumni base,” said Nwagwu.

At 6-foot-2, the McAdory product has the length and the long arms college coaches are looking for at cornerback. He is a technically-sound corner, who can match up man-to-man on an island and carries his own. He is also a sound tackler, who makes effective tackles in open space.
