Alabama wide receivers limited drops in final scrimmage

Nick Saban jumped on them after the first scrimmage, but Alabama’s wide receiver room bounced back.

They improved in Saturday’s practice at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Coach Saban highlighted the focus of the group.

“I think our receivers have improved,” Saban said.

“I think they have played faster and are playing with more confidence. I think we have had fewer drops. The goal is not to have any drops. We are going to continue to work on that, but I think they have made improvements. We have made improvements in the passing game. I think we are more consistent and confident in what we are doing. I think that has helped the quarterbacks and the confidence of the receivers.”

Alabama needs its group of receivers to play with confidence.

The position takes a step in the right direction after a tough first scrimmage.
