ESPN’s Pat McAfee feels Jalen Milroe has shades of Lamar Jackson in his game.
McAfee was a guess on ESPN’s Get Up on Friday morning. He reported live from the campus of the University of Alabama and as he discussed Alabama’s team as a whole, he gave Milroe praise.

“That Milroe guy right there, and the flashes we’ve seen from him in the past,” McAfee said. “It’s hard to compare anybody to Lamar Jackson, and I guess it’s going to happen all the time. Any time a quarterback can run and can make people miss, they’re going to say, ‘Oh, it’s Lamar Jackson,’ just like people did with Vick back in the day, just like it probably happened with Steve Young back in the day. But there are shades of Lamar Jackson in this Milro When you have him on a college football field, he looks like an adult outrunning everybody else.”
Milroe kicked off the football season with a five-touchdown performance against Middle Tennessee State. He is the Tide’s projected starter for the Texas game this weekend.
