The University of Alabama opens its Southeastern Conference football schedule this week against Ole Miss.

Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide are 2-1 on the year after a 17-3 victory over South Florida. All of its goals for the season remain alive, despite a week two loss to Texas at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama has some things to clean up on offense and defense, but the players had a meeting to iron stuff out. Coach Saban likes the togetherness of the group, but it needs to have urgency.

Alabama had the time and network announced for its second SEC matchup. The Tide will face Mississippi State at Davis Wade Stadium (Starkville, Miss.) on Saturday, Sept. 30. ESPN will have the call at 8:00 p.m. CT as the cowbells will be in effect.

Alabama got a 30-6 victory over the Bulldogs last year.
