A few scouts from National Football League teams took in Alabama’s matchup against Ole Miss from Bryant-Denny Stadium last week.
The Crimson Tide had a couple of defensive players that caught attention — including linebacker Dallas Turner — but an offensive playmaker may have increased his draft value for next year.

Jase McClellan, a senior running back, earned Offensive Player of the Week from Touchdown Alabama Magazine for his performance versus the Rebels. The native Texan showed the patience, contact balance, power, and vision for his first 100-yard outing of the season. McClellan totaled 105 yards rushing on 17 carries, including a touchdown.
He averaged 6.2 yards per attempt.
The former four-star displayed his ability to break tackles on his touchdown in the red zone. McClellan slipped out of one tackle and refused to let another defender bring him down as he found the end zone.
Nick Saban has produced several NFL running backs from Alabama, including first-rounders such as Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, Josh Jacobs, and Najee Harris. McClellan has an opportunity to be a good value pick in the 2024.
He now turns his attention to Miss. State.
