Mac Jones responded to accusations of him striking Sauce Gardner in the ‘private parts’ last Sunday during the Jets vs. Patriots game.
Jones feels the contact made between him and Gardner at the end of a play was not ‘intentional.’
“Sauce is one of the best corners in the NFL,” said Jones on the WEEI’s Jones & Mego Show on Monday afternoon I have a lot of respect for him. On that play, nothing was intentional. I just got up and went back to the huddle, and that’s it.”
Gardner posted a video of the alleged incident.
