Jimbo Fisher gave his assessment of Alabama football’s defense during the SEC coaches teleconference.
Alabama’s defense is ranked No. 18 in the nation in total defense through five games. The Crimson Tide have forced eight turnovers this season with two forced fumbles and six interceptions. Fisher believes the Tide defense is productive at the first, second and third levels.
“It looks like all of them,” Fisher said Wednesday. “They’re always, always good. They can affect you on all three levels…They’re as good as there is, and they play great football.”
Texas A&M and Fisher will be tasked with scoring on the Alabama defense many believe is among the nation’s best.
The Aggies’ offense is ranked No. 29 in total offense. The are averaging 450.8 total yards a game.
