New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones was replaced again by backup Bailey Zappe on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

Zappe took over for Jones in the fourth quarter with the game out of hand at a score of 31-0.

Jones struggled for the second straight week completing 12-of-22 passes for 110 yards, no touchdowns, two interceptions and a lost fumble. In his place, Zappe completed just 3-of-9 passes for 22 yards in his limited time.

Last week head coach Bill Belichick said that Jones’ benching was due to the game being out of hand and not an indication of a long-term move. Belichick shared the same sentiment after the game that Jones would be the quarterback going forward, the game was once again just out of reach.

“Yeah there was a lot of problems,” Belichick said. “Certainly wasn’t all on him.”
