Jalen Milroe returned to his home state last week and turned in his best outing of the season.
The redshirt sophomore showed he can deliver Alabama football to a victory with his arm.

Alabama could not run the ball how it wanted to, but Milroe took several deep shots in the passing game and made timely completions when the offense needed it. He recorded career-highs for completions (21) and passing yards (321) while tossing three touchdowns in a 26-20 victory for the Crimson Tide over Texas A&M. Milroe connected with wide receiver Jermaine Burton for two touchdowns and Isaiah Bond for a score. The native Texan tossed his fourth interception of the year and was sacked six times; however, he battled through the adversity. After the game, Milroe celebrated the victory with friends and family members.
The Davey O’Brien Foundation presents its National Quarterback Award and has done it since 1977.
Milroe earned a spot on its “Great 8” list after his outing in week six of the college football season.
