Jalen Milroe knows all about the pressure that comes with being the starting quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Milroe has had an up-and-down season so far. Some moments have been unforgettable, while others may have made Alabama fans shake their heads as he continues to develop as a quarterback. The redshirt sophomore has thrown for 1,397 yards and eleven touchdowns while throwing four interceptions this season.
There is pressure if you suit up for Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide and play any position. Being the starting quarterback amplifies that pressure. However, Milroe sees the pressure as a positive and something that does not need to be feared.
“With pressure, I think I see it as a positive,” said Milroe. “We shouldn’t fear pressure at all. How I see fear is I face everything and rise and see everything as an opportunity, for sure. And another thing too is preparation. Preparation is very key to any success. That’s my biggest thing, what I try to do as much as possible is be prepared for any situation that may happen.”
Milroe will lead the Tide when they take on Tennessee Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
