Tyreek Hill had enough of Stephen A. Smith’s comments from one of his segments on the ESPN show First Take.

During the show, Smith claimed that Tua Tagovailoa’s success was coming from two-yard passes to the likes of Hill who would be the true ones making the plays.

Hill took this as a shot at his quarterback which is why he came to his defense on his podcast “It Needed To Be Said” saying that Smith did not know what he was talking about, and that Tagovailoa is an MVP candidate.

“It he really just watched the games and watch how we play, none of our routes are really like 2 yards, you feel me? Quarterback is like the hardest position in the league,” Hill said. “For a guy to even be considered (an MVP candidate), that’s next level. For Stephen A. Smith to go out of his way and say Tua isn’t worthy of being an MVP is crazy to me.

“If you look as, besides Lamar Jackosn, all of the past MVPS, they had guys. They had receivers to throw the ball to. Just because a guy has talent around him and he’s succeeding doesn’t mean he’s not worthy of being a candidate for MVP.”

Tagovailoa currently leads the league in passing yards (1,876), yards per attempt (9.5), passing touchdowns (14) and quarterback rating (114.1) so far this season.
