After a big hit from Sunday’s game, Denver Broncos defensive back Kareem Jackson will now be standing on the sidelines for the next few weeks.
The NFL announced on Monday that it was suspending Jackson for four weeks without pay after violations of the league’s unnecessary roughness rules.

“On the play in question, you delivered a forceful blow to the head/neck area of a defenseless receiver, when you had the time and space to avoid such contact,” NFL Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan said in a statement. “You could have made contact with your opponent within the rules, yet you chose not to.”
Jackson delivered a hit on Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrace after an 18-yard reception and was penalized and ejected following the play.
