Some of the most iconic moments for Alabama football have come in its rivalry matchup against LSU.

Crimson Tide fans remember Rashad Johnson’s massive performance in 2008, Julio Jones taking a screen pass for a marquee touchdown in 2009, Alabama’s shutout of LSU in the 2012 BCS National Championship Game (2011 season), T.J. Yeldon’s game-winning touchdown on a screen pass in 2012, Derrick Henry taking the Heisman Trophy from Leonard Fournette in 2015, and DeVonta Smith torching Derek Stingley in 2020. New memories will be created Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium as the Tide looks to win the SEC Western Division. It has a chance to play for a conference championship and possibly get into the CFP.

A couple of former Alabama players decided to share epic moments from the rivalry with LSU on social media.

Kevin Norwood had several significant plays against the Tigers, including three catches in the fourth quarter of the 2012 contest to set up the screen pass from AJ McCarron to T.J. Yeldon. The former three-star from Mississippi became a star in the 2012 BCS National Championship as he burned Tyrann Mathieu multiple times. Norwood became known as “The Tiger Killer” for Tide fans.

Jesse Williams came to the Tide in 2011 from Arizona Western Community College.

A native Australian, he was on the Alabama defensive front that did not allow LSU to cross midfield in the BCS National Championship Game. He was also on the following team that defeated the Tigers in Baton Rouge (La.) to become a back-to-back national champion. Williams was a force up front, and like Norwood, he saved his best outings for the Tigers.

Alabama fans are hopeful that more enjoying moments happen this weekend.
