The most recent Alabama assistant to take home the award was former Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian who won back in 2020.
In his first year on the job, Rees has worked to transform the Alabama offense throughout the season and has the unit nationally ranked No. 16 in scoring offense, No. 10 in passing, No. 42 in rushing offense and No. 45 in total offense.
Judging by where the offense began at the start of the season, Rees has issued improvements across the board and has Alabama’s offense playing its best football at the right time of the season.
