Alabama opens Rose Bowl odds as a slight underdog to Michigan

Reinhold Matay - USA Today Sports

The betting lines have opened for the Rose Bowl matchup between Alabama and Michigan.

Alabama has served as the underdog to a few teams this season, including Texas A&M, LSU, and Georgia.

The Crimson Tide emerged victorious in all three games, including two by double digits. Alabama captured a Southeastern Conference Championship with a 27-24 victory over Georgia. The Tide returns to the College Football Playoff after missing out last year, and it is the No. 4 seed. Alabama takes on Michigan (No. 1 seed) on New Year’s Day and betting lines like the Wolverines.

According to Circa Sports, Michigan opens as a 2-point favorite. The line dropped to 1.5, but Michigan is the favorite.

Jim Harbaugh has an elite rushing attack with Blake Corum and J.J. McCarthy is an efficient quarterback.

We will see how things turn out in the contest, but Alabama is excited to take on the Wolverines.
