Alabama football head coach Nick Saban was named a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Award on Tuesday.
Every year the award is given to the top coach in college football. Saban was selected along with 11 others. He won the award in 2008, which was the only time he earned it in his career.
The winner of the award will be announced on Dec. 20.
Saban and the Crimson Tide are 12-1 after winning the SEC Championship. They will play in the College Football Playoff semifinals against Michigan on New Year’s Day in the Rose Bowl as the fourth seed.
