Alabama redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Anquin Barnes Jr. entered the NCAA transfer portal on Monday. The news was first reported by 247 Sports’ Matt Zenitz.
The Montgomery, Ala. native, appeared in just two games in his three years with the program with both coming in mop-up duty against Middle Tennessee and Chattanooga.
Barnes is now the second defensive lineman and fifth total member of the Crimson Tide to explore his options in the transfer portal.
He now joins quarterback Tyler Buchner, defensive lineman Isaiah Hastings and wide receivers Thaiu Jones-Bell and Ja’Corey Brooks.
