Does Alabama football have a new five-star that’s acclimating himself to Jalen Milroe, Tommy Rees, and the offense?

Julian Sayin, a five-star quarterback commit from California, is turning heads in the Crimson Tide’s preparation for the Rose Bowl (College Football Playoff Semifinal) against Michigan. Sayin, a product of Carlsbad (Calif.) High School, is one of 22 verbal commitments in Alabama’s 2024 recruiting class. He is also one of several recruits that came early to help in bowl practices.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder has drawn attention from Milroe. Alabama’s starting quarterback spoke Tuesday about what he likes from the five-star freshman in practice. Milroe, a redshirt sophomore, sees marquee potential from Sayin.

“He spins the ball really well,” Milroe said to Alabama reporters about Sayin.

“I’m just appreciative to have another brother in the room. He’s done a really good job practicing, and he’s a good dude.”

Milroe led the Crimson Tide to a Southeastern Conference Championship as a first-year starting quarterback. He is coming back next season for Alabama, but it is good to hear Sayin is already making a strong impression on Milroe.

Sayin will sign his National Letter of Intent for the Tide on Wednesday.
