Jayce Halasz made it back to Tuscaloosa on Monday after earning an offer and visiting the Alabama Crimson Tide in April.
Halasz is a 2028 prospect, and he attends Graham Kapowsin High School in Graham, Washington. He holds offers from Alabama, Oregon, USC and others. Halasz, who has ties to the state of Alabama, felt at home during his return visit to Tuscaloosa.
“It was great to get back, felt like a breath of fresh air getting back on campus, super homey the second time around,” Halasz said.
Halasz’s dad is an Alabama native, and his parents still live in the state. The 2028 prospect has visited throughout his life.
Unfortunately for the talented prospect, he was sidelined on Monday for camp with an injury. However, the injury allowed Halasz to get a different look at Alabama.
“Because I didn’t compete in the camp due to injury, I got more of a coaching style takeaway, got a view of how coach (Derrick) Nix and Coach TG (Torrey Gill) break things down,” said Halasz.
Alabama will likely get the rising junior back on campus for a game this spring after the Tide’s staff made him feel welcome.
“I think the staff’s message was to really just get a feel for the coaching atmosphere, along with making me feel like a priority,” Halasz told Touchdown Alabama. “I will very likely be back down in the fall for a game.”
At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Halasz is a very impressive prospect at wide receiver. He appears to have a great feel for creating separation as a deceptive route runner. He becomes more dangerous when he gets the football in his hands with his ability to pick up yards after the catch.
Halasz finished the 2025 season with 1,023 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns on 64 receptions.
