Peyton Woodyard has announced a commitment to Alabama football.
Woodyard is a four-star defensive back out of St. John Bosco High School in California. He garners four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites.
“Alabama has always been my favorite team growing up and having the opportunity to play for them is an honor,” Woodyard told Touchdown Alabama. “My skill set fits well with Alabama’s scheme and again, I can’t wait to get on campus to start to work. Alabama gives me the opportunity to excel not only on the football field but in the classroom as well. Coach Saban has set the standard for excellence and all areas of my life. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow on and off the field.”
At 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, the four-star protects over the top for one of the best high school football programs in the country. He is a physical prospect, whose junior hudl film is filled with him making tackles on ball carriers close to the line of scrimmage as he flows downhill. He is also smooth and fluid when working over the top at safety.

The California product is currently participating in Rose Bowl prep with the Crimson Tide.
