Alabama football’s head coach Nick Saban provided an update on the status of Jase McClellan Wednesday at Disneyland at a Rose Bowl welcoming event.
McClellan did not play in the SEC Championship game due to a foot injury. Fortunately for the Crimson Tide, the running back has taken advantage of some off time to prepare to return to the field.
“Jase is doing great,” Saban said. ““He practiced yesterday and today, looks good. We gave him a lot of time off to heal his foot and it looks like it paid off.”
Saban feels positive about McClellan’s return to the field.
“Barring some setback, the way he’s practiced,” Saban said. “ I don’t see why he couldn’t play the game.”
McClellan has rushed for 803 yards and six touchdowns this season.
