Top in-state sophomore LB gets visit from Kalen DeBoer and Kane Wommack

Anthony Jones

Alabama football’s head coach Kalen DeBoer and and the Crimson Tide’s new defensive coordinator Kane Wommack were out recruiting in the Mobile, Alabama area on Monday.

One of their stops was to St. Paul’s Episcopal. This is home to several former Alabama players, including AJ McCarron, Mark Barron and Jalyn Armour-Davis. The program continues to produce top football talent, and their next big-time prospect is Anthony Jones.

Jones is a sophomore linebacker prospect, who holds previous offers from Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida and others. He is currently in the running to be the nation’s top linebacker in the 2026 recruiting class. He is expected to continue to be a top target for the Crimson Tide under their new coaching staff.
