The tight end room will be a position of strength for Alabama football next season.
Alabama lost Amari Niblack (Texas) and Miles Kitselman to the NCAA transfer portal, but it returned CJ Dippre, Danny Lewis Jr., Robbie Ouzts, and Ty Lockwood. It also signed Caleb Odom and Jay Lindsey in its 2024 freshmen class.
The Crimson Tide pulled a tight end from the portal in Josh Cuevas from Washington.
A Los Angeles (Calif.) native, Cuevas had four receptions for 164 yards and a touchdown in 2023 for the Huskies. The 6-foot-3, 239-pounder averaged 41 yards per catch, helping Washington to a Pac-12 Championship and a berth in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

We will see how he fits into the offense, but he possesses the capability to get open, run smooth routes, and be an asset in the passing game.
Alabama fans reacted on social media to Cuevas making the decision to choose the Tide.
