Kalen DeBoer revealed why he felt Ryan Williams had to be a priority after he was hired as Alabama football’s head coach during an interview with Ryan Fowler on “The Game.”
Williams signed with Alabama as a five-star recruit after reclassifying from the 2025 recruiting class to the 2024 class.
The Alabama native is one of the most accomplished Alabama high school football players ever. He is a two-time Mr. Football and Gatorade Player of the Year award winner. DeBoer thinks the future Tide wide receiver is impressive on and off the field.
“He’s one of the most dynamic guys I’ve ever seen,” DeBoer said. “Get the ball in his hands, he can do it on the short routes and he can do it deep downfield. He’s good in every way. I just was so attracted to him not just as a football player but also just as a person. I mean when you talk to him, and he reiterates what he hears. It’s amazing to me how much he processes and can articulate back to you what was all said. I am just super excited to coach him up.”
Williams is set to enroll at the University of Alabama in the summer.
