Kalen DeBoer reveals what he thinks makes 4-Star Edge Noah Carter special

Kalen DeBoer made a push to add Noah Carter to Alabama football’s 2024 recruiting class after he backed out of his Washington NLI.

Carter is a 2024 four-star edge prospect, who is set to join the Crimson Tide this summer. DeBoer feels Carter’s versatility makes him a good get for Alabama.

“He is dynamic in different ways,” DeBoer said Tuesday during an interview on ‘The Game with Ryan Fowler on Tide 100.9.’ “I think he can play on the line of scrimmage or off the line of scrimmage in different ways in our defense. The constant pressure that he can put on a pass rush, he’ll grow into his frame which I think is a great frame. You watch his film and see who he is, the way he’s comfortable in space. He’s just a confident football player, just like Ryan. Always thinking about what’s possible, and the work he puts in supports the goals that he has.”

Carter is a long and athletic edge prospect, who doubled as a receiver and edge rusher as a senior. He has the length Alabama typically goes after at the outside linebacker position. He plays fast and with the ability to play sideline to sideline. He is a talented athlete, who could be recruited as a wide receiver if he decided to play there full-time.
