He has turned himself into an NFL Draft pick, but all Terrion Arnold wants to be is a good son.
One of the most genuinely positive players in the Nick Saban era at the University of Alabama took a moment on Friday to honor his mother with a heartfelt message at the NFL Scouting Combine. Tamala Arnold watched her son worked his way from a five-star athlete in the 2021 recruiting class from Tallahassee (Fla.) to a potential first-round selection.

She watched him go through struggles at Alabama, but the confidence she gave him would not let him quit
Arnold witnessed her son rise to be one of the best cornerbacks in the Southeastern Conference and in college football. She saw him become the catalyst behind “Let All Naysayers Know” or LANK, pushing the Crimson Tide’s defense to an SEC Championship and the College Football Playoff. She endured a lot, but watching her son pay homage to her on national television was special.
Arnold looked into the TV cameras via NFL Network after his on-field Combine workout to love on his mother.

“Mom, if you are watching this right now, your son just wants to say how proud he is of you,” Arnold said. “You had me at a young age and you overcame a lot of adversity. People were doubting you, people were counting you out, and honestly mom like I always tell you, you raised a star. I just want to say, ‘Tamala Arnold, I love you. I’m right here, the whole world is watching, and I’m blessed to have you as a mom. Like I said, you overcame a lot and with that being said, I am going to continue to keep shining.”
Arnold also paid homage to his hometown and hopes everyone in Tallahassee is proud of him.
He ran a good 40-time, 4.51 seconds, and cleanly performed every on-field drill. Arnold is looking forward to showing more at Alabama’s Pro Day on March 20, but every pro team sees the genuine person off the field that Arnold is.
