Mack Sutter made a trip to Tuscaloosa to visit the Alabama Crimson Tide last week and walked away impressed with what he heard from the Tide.
Sutter is a 2026 four-star athlete out of Dunlap High School in Illinois. He currently garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites with offers from Ole Miss, Missouri, Texas A&M and others. Alabama is one of the latest programs to offer Sutter, and it is one the sophomore will continue to cherish.
“Alabama will always be special to me because they are one of the few schools to offer me in-person,” Sutter said.
Sutter’s versatility as a pure football player has earned him the right to be considered an athlete on most recruiting sites. The Crimson Tide like him at tight end and were able to talk with him about the position during his visit.
“It was an awesome time getting to speak with them for a long time on how they use their tight ends,” said Sutter.
Alabama’s tight end coach Bryan Ellis sat down with the Illinois product while he was in Tuscaloosa. The four-star liked what he was hearing from Ellis during their time together.
“I loved talking to coach Ellis and his thoughts on me fitting into their program,” Sutter told Touchdown Alabama.
The Tide will look to get him back on campus during the spring.
Sutter stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 220 pounds, and he does it all for Dunlap. He takes snaps at quarterback, wide receiver and while lined up on the edge on defense. He flashes impressive athleticism wherever he lines up and produces.
As a tight end, he has some deceptive route-running skills and is a big target.
