Unfortunately for Alabama, it didn’t come out of its final scrimmage ahead of A-Day completely clean as starting offensive lineman Jaeden Roberts suffered a lower leg injury on Saturday.

Luckily for the Crimson Tide, head coach Kalen DeBoer was quick to inform it is not expected to be a major injury for Roberts.

“Jaeden’s going to be fine,” DeBoer said to the media following the scrimmage. “He might be down for a little bit here, but he’ll be fine. We’ll do some follow-up evaluations. Early reports anyways, it feels like it’ll be nothing major.”

Roberts appeared in 11 games for Alabama last season including eight starts as he added a great deal of physicality which helped straighten out a struggling offensive line down the stretch of 2023.

The Crimson Tide now enters its final week of preparation ahead of A-Day next Saturday which will kickoff at 3 p.m. CT inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
