Former Alabama LB Dallas Turner visited NFC North team in pre-draft process

John David Mercer - USA Today Sports

Dallas Turner followed Will Anderson’s production as a linebacker for Alabama football.

Anderson, a former five-star in the 2020 signing class, went No. 3 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. He become the National Football League’s Defensive Rookie of the Year, leading the Houston Texans to the AFC playoffs. Turner, a former five-star in the 2021 class, pushed the Crimson Tide’s defense to a Southeastern Conference Championship last season. The South Florida native earned Consensus All-American honors and was voted a permanent team captain. He is expected to go in the first round.

According to Aaron Wilson, an NFL reporter for the Texans via KPRC Channel 2 News, the Chicago Bears hosted Turner for a visit this week in his pre-draft process. Chicago has two first-round picks, including the No. 1 overall pick that it got last year in a trade with the Carolina Panthers. The Bears have the ninth overall pick, and it could use it on an edge rusher. Turner is arguably the top edge rusher in the draft. He led the Tide in tackles for loss (14.5), sacks (10), and quarterback hurries (13) in 2023.

Turner collected two SEC Championship rings (2021, 2023) in his tenure at Alabama.
