This stat from the 2024 NFL Draft should excite Alabama fans about Kalen DeBoer

Alabama football fans are not happy with the fact of Michigan having the most players (13) selected in this year’s NFL Draft, but the Crimson Tide landed in the top three as Nick Saban put 10 athletes in the pros for his final class.

Alabama tied for third with two other schools, including one that lost its head coach to the Tide.

Kalen DeBoer mirrored Saban last week in watching 10 players from Washington get drafted. DeBoer had Michael Penix Jr. (quarterback), Rome Odunze (wide receiver), and Troy Fautanu (offensive tackle) go in the first round. Ja’Lynn Polk (wide receiver) and Roger Rosengarten (offensive tackle) came off the board in the second round. Bralen Trice (linebacker) and Jalen McMillan (wide receiver) went in the third round. Edefuan Ulofoshio (linebacker) and Dominique Hampton (safety) were taken in the fifth round. Devin Culp (tight end) rounded out the group for the Huskies as he got selected in the seventh round.

The fact Washington was among the top programs in getting players drafted speaks to DeBoer’s ability to successfully develop athletes for the next level. Alabama has a coach that will continue what Saban did during his 17-year run in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
