Nick Saban will have a fun partner join him next week in a golf event.

Kalen DeBoer, Alabama’s head coach, will accompany Saban at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Ala.

Both have a strong game, but it will be entertaining to look at the aspect of DeBoer competing with Saban. Saban, who spoke Thursday at an event in Irondale, did not know he was rumored to golf with DeBoer. He is excited for the opportunity and wants this chance to know his successor even more. The 72-year-old said he is glad to get out there with the Crimson Tide’s new coach.

“He’s done a really, really good job,” Saban said about DeBoer coaching the team.

“He is a good person, a good man, and I think he has a good staff. Hopefully, they can keep the continuity of the team together and add some pieces that will help them be successful.”

Alabama can add two cornerbacks from the NCAA transfer portal.

Da’Shawn Jones (Wake Forest) and Isaiah Hamilton (Houston) are visiting the University of Alabama this weekend.

Both guys add experienced value to the Tide.
