Former Alabama football defensive lineman, Nick Gentry was announced as the new head football coach at Pell City High School on Saturday.

Gentry played at Alabama from 2009 to 2011. He finished his career in Tuscaloosa with 44 tackles, seven tackles for loss and five sacks. He was a part of two BCS National Championship teams during his college career.

The former Alabama lineman takes over at Pell City after Rush Propst resigned on Friday.
