Oklahoma 4-Star RB remembers telling himself he will get Alabama offer

Kaydin Jones started to envisioned himself getting an offer from Alabama football at an early age.

Jones is now currently a sophomore running back at Jenks High School in Jenks, Oklahoma. He garners a four-star rating from all major recruiting sites and holds 24 college football offers.

The offer the Oklahoma product had been looking forward to out of Tuscaloosa came his way this week.

“I’ve worked for it and said I was going to get it one day since I was six, so finally getting it just feels so rewarding,” Jones said.

The success Alabama has enjoyed in recent years is something Jones admires.

“The success isn’t hard to see,” Jones told Touchdown Alabama. “I love the way they develop players.”

The 6-foot, 185-pounder finished the 2023 football season with 2,205 all-purpose yards and 19 total touchdowns. He displayed an ability to be a versatile threat with the football in his hands by scoring in a variety of ways. He was effective out of the backfield in the passing game, patient and explosive as a running back and made his presence felt as a return.

Jones describes himself as a ‘playmaker.’
