Alabama football remains ‘high option’ for 5-Star prospect

Alabama football is continuing to strengthen its position with one of the nation’s top overall prospects, Brandon Arrington.

Arrington is considered one of the top athlete prospects in the 2026 recruiting class by multiple recruiting outlets. The five-star attends Mount Miguel High School in California.

The Tide hosted Arrington for its Junior Day on Saturday after multiple Alabama coaches visited him earlier this week in California.

“It was great,” Arrington told Touchdown Alabama. “Alabama is a high option.”

Arrington’s latest visit to Tuscaloosa featured time with some Alabama players, including fellow California products and Alabama defensive backs, Domani Jackson and Dijon Lee. Alabama’s defensive backs coach Maurice Linguist and Alabama’s defensive coordinator Kane Wommack also shared time with Arrington, pointing to the Tide are liking the talented prospect at defensive back.

Arrington has spoken highly of many aspects of Alabama in the past.

“Everything about Alabama is good,” Arrington previously told Touchdown Alabama. “I feel like everything fits me; the city, the area and the coaching staff.”

The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder is a personification of a speedster with his success as a track athlete. He holds a PR of 10.27 in the 100-meter dash and has reportedly clocked in a 4.38 forty-yard dash. His speed translates over to the gridiron as he is absolutely electric with the football in his hands. His speed makes it very difficult to cover him as he can blow by defenders.

Arrington also has the potential to line up on the defensive side of the football at cornerback at the next level with his great length, speed and ball skills. The Tide appear to like him here.
