Former Alabama quarterback, Greg McElroy feels Ryan Grubb has the ability to create problems for defenses.

Grubb is now Alabama football’s offensive coordinator after a year in Seattle as the Seahawks’ offensive coordinator. McElroy feels this move could help Alabama’s offense give opposing defenses trouble.

“I think this is a great hire,” McElroy said. “Ryan Grub is an amazingly cerebral coach if you look at the different ways that he tries to attack opposing defenses. He has a great feel for how to create confusion. He creates a lot of problems for the opponent. That’s why Nick Saban wanted him, that’s why the NFL wanted him and that’s why Kalen DeBoer wants him to come in.”

Grubb will have multiple weapons at his disposal in Tuscaloosa. He also will be task with getting a quarterback to lead his offense with the Tide set to have a three-man quarterback battle in 2025.
