NFL free agency begins on March 10. One former Alabama player has earned a new contract prior to the start of free agency.

On Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks re-signed Jarran Reed on a three-year deal worth up to $25 million.

Reed played at Alabama from 2014-2015. He recorded 112 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and two sacks. He was a part of Alabama’s 2015 team that won the national championship.

Since entering the NFL, Reed has spent time with the Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, and Kansas City Chiefs.

The North Carolina native will enter his 10th year in the NFL with the same team that drafted him in 2016 — the Seahawks.
