Former Alabama running back, Josh Jacobs accused a member of the Las Vegas Raiders staff of letting a reporter eavesdrop on a private conversation during a recent interview on the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast.

Jacobs had plans to be a Raider long term after getting drafted by the franchise and becoming one of the top young backs in the NFL. Those plans did not work out after the Raiders did not pick up his fifth-year option. Things became very clear to Jacobs when the Raiders did not do so as he revealed he knew the relationship was done after he saw a Raider staff member secretly letting a reporter listen in on their conversation.

“Before I came to sign, me and Max (Crosby) on the phone,” Jacobs said. “Max trying to make it work. He was like, man, please, just come. So we come up there, and we got like an hour left before we got to sign a paper on a deal or not. Me and Max is in the car. Dude comes up to my car, and he’s talking to us while he’s moving his phone around. He’s on the phone with an interviewer. Literally on the phone with a reporter while he’s talking to me. So, anytime that I know it’s one report over there that anytime he had anything to say, and they’d be like, ‘where are people getting this information from?’ I’m like, it’s coming from them. So I was like. It was just a weird situation. And it has nothing to do with the raiders organization. It’s more so the people that they had in there at the time. And you know what made it worse? I seen it. I didn’t say nothing. Max was like, ‘bro, did you see who was on the phone with?’ I said, okay, so I’m not tripping…but that’s when I knew that the relationship was over with.”

Jacobs signed with the Packers before the 2024 season. He rushed for 1,329 yards and 15 touchdowns as a Packer last season.
