Former Alabama head coach, Nick Saban was asked about his expectations for the Crimson Tide for the 2025 season on Wednesday at the Regions Tradition Golf Tournament.

“I don’t really have an expectation,” Saban said. “I know these guys are working hard to do the best they can. It was a difficult transition with the number of players that moved. New system, new people. Players in the organization had to make adjustments, so I would say that everybody’s probably a lot more settled in this year, and I hope they do extremely well.”

Saban retired following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season. He was preceded by Kalen DeBoer who led the Crimson Tide to a 9-4 record during the 2024-2025 season.

If anyone can relate to DeBoer and having a disappointing first year in Tuscaloosa, it would be Saban. In Saban’s first year at Alabama, he finished the season with a 7-6 record.

Saban’s sense of positivity should definitely be encouraging to hear for the Alabama fanbase. He was able to turn things around rather quickly in Tuscaloosa. DeBoer and the Crimson Tide will aim to do the same thing in 2025.
