Alabama invites quarterback to camp after viral throw

Alabama football invited Jackson Fields to camp after one of his throws in Destrehan High School’s spring game went viral.

The throw initially caught attention because Fields hit Jabari Mack, who is committed to LSU, for a score. However, it did not take long for social media users to begin asking who was the quarterback, who threw the pass. The play has since been viewed by more than eight million X users.

Fields has been invited to camp at several programs, including Alabama, LSU and Florida State. He has also reported offers from West Georgia and Millsaps College.

The Crimson Tide are continuing to evaluate quarterbacks in the 2026 class as they do not have a commitment from a 2026 signal-caller at the moment.
