Hall of Fame college football head coach, Nick Saban says that there isn’t an opportunity he’s aware of that would lure him out of retirement.
This answer comes after former Alabama quarterback, Greg McElroy made headlines last week when bringing up speculation of a possible return for the 73-year-old. The speculation sparked instant reaction from former Alabama players and others around the college football world, leaving many wondering if there’s any truth to the matter.
On Friday, Saban joined Fox News and finally addressed the rumors.
“There is no opportunity that I know of right now that would enhance me to go back to coaching,” Saban said. “I enjoy what I’m doing. I did it for fifty years. I loved it. I love the relationship with the players. I love the competition. But it’s another stage of life now. I enjoy what I’m doing right now. I want to continue to do it- spend more time with my family, my grandchildren, my children. And it’s been really really good.”
It looks as if Saban will continue to enjoy his retirement.
