Alabama football’s first week of fall camp is behind them, and there were multiple intriguing takeaways from the Crimson Tide’s first few practices.

Here are five takeaways from the Crimson Tide’s first week of fall camp:

1. Ty Simpson remains projected starting quarterback

Ty Simpson remains the favorite to be the Crimson Tide’s next starting quarterback a few weeks ahead of the Tide facing off against Florida State in their season-opening game. He led the Tide’s quarterbacks through drills at practice, and he has shown the most command of the offense, per Ryan Grubb.

“I think that right now Ty is continuing to show a ton of command,” Grubb said.

2. There is a competition at Husky in the secondary
