Alabama football is ranked No. 8 in the first AP Poll ranking ahead of the 2025 college football season.
Texas ranked at No. 1, Penn State at No. 2, Ohio State at No. 3, Clemson at No. 4 and Georgia at No. 5 round out the top five of the preseason rankings.
Notre Dame and Oregon are ranked right above Alabama.
The Crimson Tide are coming off a 9-4 season, where they missed the College Football Playoff. Three of those losses came on the road in the SEC. Alabama ended the season with a loss to Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
Kalen DeBoer and company are looking strong ahead of the upcoming season with a lot of experience on their roster on both sides of the ball.
Alabama will open the season on the road against Florida State on Aug. 30.
