Former Alabama running back, Brian Robinson Jr. mutually agreed with the Washington Commanders to sit out of Monday night’s preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to swirling trade rumors, according to NFL Network analyst Mike Garafolo.
This agreement between the two sides comes as Robinson enters the final season of his rookie contract. Robinson is fresh off the heels of his most productive season in 2024, where he racked up a career-high 799 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns in just eight games.
Washington is currently shopping the value of the fourth-year tailback to potential suitors around the league, as a trade before all 32 franchises cut their preseason rosters down to 53 players remains a growing possibility.
