Jabarrius Garror, one of the nation’s top defensive prospects in the 2027 class and a verbal commit to Alabama, is keeping his recruitment active with visits around the country.

Garror attends Vigor high school in Alabama, and he garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites at the moment. He remains committed to the Tide, but is still filling out other programs. One of those programs is Florida State.

The explosive edge recently made the trip to Florida State, where he came away impressed with the energy of the Seminoles’ program when they defeated the Crimson Tide.

“I spoke with Coach Norvell on game day. He has a lot of energy,” Garror told Touchdown Alabama. “Florida State was aggressive the whole game. They played with a lot of energy.”

Garror also connected with defensive line coach Terrance Knhighton, noting the atmosphere in Tallahassee stood out.

“It was a great atmosphere at Florida State. All of the coaches were calling my name, giving me attention,” Garror said. “I noticed good coaching, the way the defensive line got after the ball—that’s what I look for when I visit a program.”

The Alabama commit put up jaw-dropping numbers last season, recording 104 tackles, 21.5 sacks, 37 quarterback hurries and 56 tackles for loss, cementing himself as one of the most disruptive defenders in the country.

Though pledged to Alabama, Garror has several marquee visits lined up this fall.

  • Georgia for the Alabama game on September 27
  • LSU for the Florida game on September 13
  • South Carolina later this season

With his recruitment still heating up, Garror will continue to draw attention from top programs across the SEC and beyond.
